Anansi and the Moss-Covered Rock by Eric A. Kimmel

Traditional Literature, Picture Book
Anansi is a spider and she asks the lion to go for a walk with him in the forest. If anyone says "isn't this a strange moss-covered rock" it would make them pass out. Anansi stole the lions yams and did the same thing to the elephant, rhino, hippo, giraffe, zebra and so on. The little bush deer wanted him to learn his lesson and he acted as if he didn't know what would happen. But Little Bush Deer played the trick on him. She had all the animals take back their food and Anansi still didn't learn his lesson because he still does tricks to this day.
Theme- Not to steal, but he did and didn't learn his lesson
