Summary-Pat loved to rude horses and was sent to Dogspatch with Mrs. Mack to learn how. She was a natural and she longed to ride the one horse named Penny but she had to ride the others first. Donnie and Nancy were mean to her at first but then they became nice when they realized how good she was with the horses. Hap was a quiet man but helped them save Penny. Pat grew to love all the horses and people in Dogspatch.
